Ethic and Establishment
In a rapidly changing world, architects and designers have a challenge to shape an adaptable, sustainable future for the built environment. Our professional duty is to design energy-efficient, low-carbon, and adaptable buildings using sustainable materials, whilst promoting health and well-being, biodiversity, and resilience.
Residence was established in 2023 by our Director, Connor Cunningham. Our studio designs with an ethical purpose: minimising the carbon footprint of each project, from embodied construction to operational lifespans, to meet the demands of our changing world.
Our design consolidates our users requirements; whereby we insist on design which is personal, bespoke and, where required, disruptive. The product is a high-quality, grounded, and contextualised piece of architecture. A design which highlights and demonstrates our clients unique tastes, and everyday lifestyle, as well as delivering an ethical project, optimising our energy use, and carbon footprint.
Experience and Youth
Residence is a relatively new practice built on experience, with many years working in residential, workplace and educational design. Our team has successfully delivered construction projects through all stages of work, ranging from ten thousand to one hundred million pounds.
Our Hampshire-based studio aims to make your vision into our reality, from inception to delivery - the homeowners turnkey solution. As a progressive practice, we utilise a flexible working methodology, embracing opportunities of research and development to forge exceptional and innovative results within your unique dwelling.
